Indigenous Mentor visits Colac Community Services Trainees

Our Community Services Group had the opportunity on Thursday 3rd September for Indigenous, Mentor Moana ‘Mo’ Matthews to come in and talk about her role at Raw Recruitment and what challenges are involved for indigenous youth gaining and keeping employment. 
Mo went through her time in the Northern Territory working with remote communities and youth in the more populated areas of Darwin and the challenges of making changes through those communities in regards to help for training and education of the youth.  Also how different the challenges are in Victoria compared to up North for the Indigenous Youth.

Mo also talked about her mentoring role with at Raw Recruitment and how she ensures that each employee has the support structure around them to get the best out of themselves in their job as well as outside of work.   
The trainees and Victorian Group Training are very thankful for Mo to give up her time to come to Colac and talk with the group.
